Prepare for an exploration of the recent discoveries of extra-solar planets - planets orbiting distant starts within our Milky Way neighborhood. We'll first look at our own Solar System to get perspective and then discuss detection methods used by the Planet Hunters to make these incredible discoveries. We'll examine images of these distant worlds and cover the remarkable results to date. Our evening will conclude with a discussion of the possibility of other Earths.
